Novartis may provide external funding to legitimate organizations in the interest of driving its mission to improve healthcare, advance scientific/medical knowledge or support the communities where Novartis Associates live and work.
The applicant will be responsible for the application, content and implementation of any activity that receives Novartis support, including compliance with laws and regulations.
Applying for funding
Applications must outline a clear and defined purpose and transparent objectives, deliverables, milestones and outcomes as appropriate. Applications will only be accepted from legitimate organizations. Furthermore, funding support can only be provided to legitimate organizations and not to individuals.
All applications should relate directly to one or more Novartis Areas of Interest – these vary according to region or country, so please visit your local Novartis site for more information.
Funding may be provided in the form of grants. A grant is an unsolicited, independently requested monetary contribution for a specified purpose to support medical/scientific research, education, policy initiatives, and patient advocacy activities where Novartis will receive no benefit. Grants will not be provided to political parties.
How do I submit a request for funding?
Requests should be submitted via our GEMS portal. GEMS Portal for Grants is being rolled out globally in different phases. The following countries can currently not use GEMS:
Germany (Pharmaceuticals & Oncology)
Italy (Pharmaceuticals & Oncology)
USA (Pharmaceuticals & Oncology)
If your country does not appear on this list, requests should be submitted to the GEMS portal by clicking here:
