Marie-France Tschudin has been President of Novartis Pharmaceuticals since June 7, 2019. She is a member of the Executive Committee of Novartis.
Ms. Tschudin previously was President of Advanced Accelerator Applications, a Novartis company. She joined Novartis in January 2017 as Head of Novartis Pharmaceuticals, Region Europe, and has more than 25 years of broad, multinational experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry. She established a strong record of accomplishments in driving commercial excellence, integrity, and commitment to patients. Before joining Novartis, Ms. Tschudin spent 10 years at Celgene in a variety of leadership positions, including corporate vice president of hematology and oncology for Europe, the Middle East and Africa; regional vice president of northern Europe; and general manager of Austria, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovenia and Slovakia. She started her industry career as a sales representative at Janssen-Cilag in Portugal and later managed business units for Essex Chemie AG in Switzerland and Schering-Plough SA in Spain.
Ms. Tschudin holds a Bachelor of Science from Georgetown University in the United States, and a Master of Business Administration from IMD business school in Switzerland.
