Shape how one of the world's leading healthcare companies recognizes and reports revenue. As a Revenue & Revenue Deductions and Technical Accounting Senior Expert (R&RD and TA Senior Expert), you will be the go-to expert for complex revenue accounting matters, helping ensure financial integrity while partnering with stakeholders across Finance, Commercial, Market Access, and Technical Accounting. This is an exciting opportunity to apply deep technical expertise, influence strategic business decisions, and contribute to finance transformation initiatives that drive standardization, automation, and operational excellence on a global scale.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert guidance on revenue recognition and revenue deductions accounting in line with accounting standards
  • Review and oversee revenue deductions provisions, ensuring accurate calculations, monitoring, and timely true-ups
  • Lead revenue close activities, ensuring accurate cut-off, completeness, and reporting integrity
  • Prepare accounting position papers and technical accounting assessments for complex revenue-related matters
  • Partner with Commercial, Market Access, Business Planning and Analysis, and Order-to-Cash stakeholders on accounting outcomes
  • Ensure accurate and consistent financial reporting for revenue and deductions across global reporting platforms
  • Drive process standardization, automation, and transformation initiatives to enhance efficiency and control

Essential Requirements

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Strong experience in revenue recognition and gross-to-net accounting within a complex global environment
  • Deep knowledge of IFRS15 and revenue deductions accounting principles
  • Proven ability to assess complex commercial arrangements and translate them into appropriate accounting treatment
  • Experience preparing technical accounting assessments and accounting position papers for complex accounting matters
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills with fluency in English

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience supporting finance transformation, process automation, or enterprise resource planning implementation initiatives
  • Knowledge of Financial Consolidation and Reporting System, Novartis Performance Management Reporting, or similar reporting platforms

Expected Annual Base Salary Range for role: 

  • Kč808,381.00 - Kč1,501,279.00

 

The salary offered is determined based on gender-neutral objectives, such as relevant skills, competencies and experience in accordance with the Novartis pay setting policy and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically.  

 

In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for a performance-based bonus depending on certain performance parameters. Further details will be provided during the application process.
