As Head of Supply & Logistics, you will lead a critical function supporting Cell and Gene Therapy manufacturing operations, overseeing end-to-end supply planning, warehousing, logistics, compliance, and team leadership. About the Role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end raw material planning, forecasting, purchasing, and availability to support uninterrupted Good Manufacturing Practice manufacturing.
- Partner cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, Development, Technology Transfer, and Validation to develop robust supply strategies.
- Oversee direct and indirect material procurement, supplier management, invoice review, and budget planning activities.
- Manage material release processes, monitor shortages, and implement mitigation plans for critical supply risks.
- Direct warehouse and logistics operations, including inventory control, material receipt, storage, movement, and product shipment.
- Drive warehouse optimisation through process improvements, standard operating procedures, system enhancements, and Lean principles.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, safety, and business continuity requirements while developing and leading a high-performing team.
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Logistics, Business, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or a related discipline.
- Significant logistics and supply chain leadership experience within a pharmaceutical or industrial operations environment, including Cell and Gene Therapy.
- Deep understanding of materials management and supply chain planning principles, including forecasting, purchasing, distribution, transportation, and inventory management.
- Strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice regulations and compliance requirements within a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated financial acumen, including management of warehouse budgets, inventory, working capital, and logistics costs.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, drive operational excellence, and build high-performing organisations.
The salary for this position is expected to range between $138,600 and $257,400 per year. The final salary offered is determined based on factors like, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. Novartis may change the published salary range based on company and market factors.
Your compensation will include a performance-based cash incentive and, depending on the level of the role, eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards.
