As a Project Manager - PMO Lead, you will play a pivotal role in delivering strategic, enterprise-wide initiatives that accelerate innovation, strengthen operational excellence, and create measurable business impact. About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead complex, cross-functional programs from planning through execution and operational handover.
  • Driving project governance, risk management, financial oversight, and delivery excellence.
  • Align stakeholders on priorities, objectives, and successful program outcomes.
  • Oversee project roadmaps, milestones, dependencies, and critical deliverables.
  • Foster collaboration across business, data, integration, and technology teams.
  • Manage program risks, issues, and escalations with proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Establish clear accountability and performance tracking across project teams.
  • Influence senior stakeholders and support strategic decision-making.
  • Champion continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and scalable delivery practices.
  • Ensure successful adoption and realization of business value.

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Informatics, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • More than 10 years of project and program management experience leading complex initiatives.
  • Proven success leading cross-functional teams within matrixed global organizations.
  • Strong expertise in project governance, risk management, budgeting, and delivery execution.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including executive-level engagement.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and drive change across large-scale programs.

Expected Annual Base Salary Range for role:

Barcelona: 57,900.00 - 107,500.00 EUR Annual

The salary offered is determined based on gender-neutral objectives, such as relevant skills, competencies and experience in accordance with the Novartis pay setting policy and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically.

In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for a performance-based bonus depending on certain performance parameters. Further details will be provided during the application process.
