Summary
About the Role
1)Providing overall leadership for the entire DU in Japan and, in collaboration withrelevant line functions, leading development strategy from pre‑PoC through registrationto deliver innovative medicines to patients.
2)Leading the formulation of DU strategies in partnership with Commercial, Research,Strategy &Growth, and Medical to maximize pipeline value in both the short and longterm, contributing to company-wide growth.
3)Representing the therapeutic area at key internal and external stakeholder meetings,including global and domestic leadership meetings and governance boards,contributing to overall company strategy and enhanced portfolio value.
4)Incorporating external industry trends and competitor insights to enable well‑informeddecision‑making.
5)Effectively managing risks at key project milestones while ensuring transparency ofrisks, opportunities, and trade‑offs.
6)Responsible for talent development, deployment, and talent management within JapanProgram Head (JPH).
7)Ensure overall compliance with GxP and applicable laws and regulations across thedevelopment portfolio, with accountability for timely and appropriate risk identification,escalation, and response, and for driving continuous improvement through effectiveissue management.
8)Quality accountability: Ensure adequate reporting of adverse events / technicalcomplaint / compliance issue in accordance with company procedures and 100%timely delivery of all training requirements including compliance
