Summary

-Defines and drives scientifically sound and business driven project strategy. Reviews, manages, proactively challenges, and controls status of projects operations of the programs and budgets; manages schedules and may prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and stakeholders goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with team members and line managers. Interfaces with stakeholders to ensure requirements are met.

About the Role

Major accountabilities:
  • Influences cross-functional strategy to ensure innovation, productivity, and feasibility -Proactively identifies and manages program development risks and issues -Champions enterprise thinking when planning resources and budget -Ensures delivery of development activities to forecast, timelines and at high qualityOR -In some cases, may also lead cross-functional team(s) of subject matter experts in due diligence (DD) phase of external partnering evaluations.
  • to ensure robust, fair balance, and timely scientific/technical DD evaluations and to develop an integrated DD team -Represents area as core member in the Global Project Teams for defining global scientific strategy for development up to submission and approval in major markets of assigned product(s).
  • Reporting of technical complaints / adverse events / special case scenarios related to Novartis products within 24 hours of receipt -Distribution of marketing samples (where applicable)
Key performance indicators:
  • Achievement of unit and/or program objectives and key program milestones -Quality and accuracy of plan and forecast of budget and timelines in used enterprise systems -Sucessful project execution -Partner/ Customer feedback -Scientific exchange, including internal & external publications/presentations, invited lectures
