About the Role
Major accountabilities:
HEOR Strategy
- Develop and implement local HEOR strategies aligned with brand and market access objectives.
- Identify evidence gaps relevant to Belgian reimbursement and payer decision-making.
- Advise on integration of HEOR evidence into brand planning and launch strategies
Health Economic Modelling
- Adapt or develop cost-effectiveness and budget impact models and reports for Belgium.
- Ensure models reflect Belgian clinical practice, epidemiology, resource use, costs, and reimbursement pathways.
- Work with global HEOR teams and/or external vendors to localize economic models.
- Critically review model assumptions, inputs, outputs, and sensitivity analyses.
- Support the preparation of economic evidence for reimbursement discussions.
Reimbursement and Market Access Support
- Provide HEOR input (models and reports) for submissions to Belgian reimbursement dossiers.
- Translate complex HEOR findings into clear, stakeholder-appropriate messages.
- Coordinate responses to HTA questions and requests.
- Ensure submission materials meet quality, timing, and compliance standards.
- Support pricing and reimbursement strategies with robust economic and outcomes evidence.
- Monitor Belgian healthcare policy, HTA requirements, reimbursement trends, and payer expectations.
- Support discussions related to managed entry agreements when needed.
- Support early launch activities
Scientific Communication
- Support development of scientific publications, congress abstracts, posters, and presentations.
Stakeholder Engagement & External Interface
- Engage with HTA bodies, payers, and health authorities as required.
- Represent the organization in HTA‑related meetings and consultations.
- Build professional, trust‑based relationships with external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Public Affairs on HEOR and HTA landscape activities.
Cross‑functional Collaboration & Operational Excellence
- Work closely with Market Access, Medical, Pricing, Finance, and global HEOR teams.
- Coordinate internal contributors and external suppliers for HEOR deliverables
- Ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery of HEOR activities
- Communicate strategy, risks, and progress to internal stakeholders
- Execute all activities in line with ethical, legal, and compliance requirements
Education:
- University degree in life sciences, health sciences, economics or business
- Advanced training in health economics or related field preferred
Languages:
- English
- Dutch and/or French: strongly preferred
Experience/Professional Requirement:
- ≥3 years’ experience in HEOR, HTA, market access
- Experience supporting reimbursement submissions and payer evaluations
- Experience with economic modelling (e.g. Excel, R) and evidence generation
- Excellent economic and analytical ability
- Ability to interpret clinical trial data, real-world evidence, and epidemiological data.
- Exposure to national healthcare systems and reimbursement processes
Functional capabilities
- Development or oversight of economic models and reports.
- Evidence generation, data interpretation, and analytical problem solving
- Project management with multiple stakeholders and suppliers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
