The Medical Manager focuses on optimizing patient access and outcomes by providing up to date compound and disease area medical expertise, acting as a key expert in the assigned therapeutic area, and leading across functions to address internal and external stakeholder needs. The role shapes and implements local and global therapeutic area strategies through innovative scientific engagement, co creation with healthcare systems and the scientific community, and close collaboration with country, regional, and global teams to ensure patient centric outcomes across the product lifecycle.

About the Role

Key responsibilities

  • Provide medical and scientific expertise on assigned disease areas and products, supporting the full product lifecycle and therapeutic area strategy.
  • Lead and contribute to medical education, scientific publications, congress activities, and external scientific programs, acting as a Novartis medical ambassador.
  • Shape and co‑create scientific engagement strategies, medical education plans, and medical content in close collaboration with cross‑functional partners.
  • Ensure high‑quality, credible, and compliant peer‑to‑peer scientific exchange with healthcare professionals and medical experts.
  • Identify and develop opportunities for joint value creation with scientific leaders, healthcare systems, and patient organizations, including co‑designed strategies and studies.
  • Gather, analyze, and share insights from external engagements, congresses, real‑world practice, and peer‑to‑peer interactions to inform disease area strategy.
  • Identify real‑world evidence and implementation research needs, and support local evidence generation activities to close data gaps and improve patient outcomes.
  • Ensure all medical, scientific, and educational activities adhere to medical governance, ERC, local laws, and internal compliance standards.

Requirements

  • Advanced scientific degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent); country language and English required; 2–3+ years of experience in medical or clinical roles.
  • Experience in Medical Affairs or customer‑facing scientific roles within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong medical and scientific expertise with the ability to interpret, analyze, and communicate clinical data.
  • Proven capability in scientific writing, publications, and development of medical education materials.
  • Experience working in cross‑functional, matrix environments with effective stakeholder collaboration.
  • Strong planning, organizational skills, and sound business acumen.
  • Excellent communication skills with strong customer and stakeholder orientation.
  • Preferred experience with innovative study designs, real‑world evidence generation, and implementation science.

Expected Annual Base Salary Range for role:

· Poland: PLN 213,900 - 397,300

The salary offered is determined based on gender-neutral objectives, such as relevant skills, competencies and experience in accordance with the Novartis pay setting policy and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically.
