About the Role
Responsibilities:
- Lead development of scientific publications including manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and slide presentations
- Own content delivery end-to-end, from initial brief through to final publication or presentation
- Translate complex clinical data into clear, audience-appropriate scientific messaging
- Ensure all content is accurate, evidence-based, and aligned to defined scientific narratives
- Create materials for scientific meetings, including symposia slides, agendas, and speaker briefings
- Perform internal scientific reviews to maintain quality and consistency across deliverables
- Conduct quality control and proofreading to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align on content strategy and priorities
- Contribute to strategic and tactical publication planning and associated research
- Mentor team members and support onboarding of new colleagues
Essential for the role:
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent experience
- Extensive experience in medical writing, including manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and presentation materials
- Strong understanding of clinical research, drug development, and scientific data interpretation
- Proven ability to translate complex scientific information into clear, concise, audience-appropriate content
- Demonstrated experience working within publication processes and industry guidelines, including good publication practices
- High attention to detail with a strong focus on scientific accuracy and quality
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise effectively, and deliver within tight timelines
Desirable for the role:
- Advanced degree such as Master of Science, Doctor of Philosophy, Doctor of Medicine, or Doctor of Pharmacy
- Experience working across multiple therapeutic areas or global, cross-functional teams
