Agentic AI Lead for AI &DS, BSI

Location: Hyderabad | #LI-Hybrid
 

Key Accountabilities: 

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable AI solutions, focusing on GenAI applications.
• Drive innovation by staying current with advancements in AI, particularly generative models and LLM technologies.
• Manage and mentor a high-performing team of data scientists, providing technical direction, fostering knowledge sharing, and ensuring alignment within AI and Data Science initiatives.
• Engage in hands-on development and guide best practices for code quality, version control, and ML/AI Ops pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI-driven solutions across platforms and services.
• Champion a culture of experimentation and adoption of best practices, inspiring teams with a “can-do” attitude and acting as an AI role model.

Minimum Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 12–15 years of experience, or
• Master’s degree with 10–12 years of relevant experience.
• Certifications in GenAI/ML platforms (AWS/Azure) are a plus.

Experience:

• Minimum 10 years delivering advanced data science projects, including 5–6 years managing high-performing data science or ML teams from problem framing through production.
• Experience delivering agentic solution in production and proven ability to build and deploy scalable ML models using cloud services (AWS, Azure).

Technical Expertise:

• Expertise in Agent Design Patterns and frameworks, including LangGraph, LangFuse, Chain of Thought, ReACT
• Comprehensive skills in state and memory management for intelligent systems
• Advanced knowledge of tooling, orchestration, and integration for agent-based solutions
• Strong background in Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and knowledge grounding techniques
• Extensive experience with LLMs, classical ML/DL algorithms, time series analysis, and statistical methods
• Proficient in Python with proven ability to deploy models in production environments
• Business Acumen:
• Ability to translate complex algorithmic outputs into clear, outcome-oriented narratives for senior leadership.

Preferred Requirements

• Experience in the commercial pharma industry.
• Published thought leadership or conference presentations.
• Advanced degree (PhD or Master’s) in Computer Science or Data Science.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies for project delivery.
• Ability to balance operational execution with strategic thinking, supporting both day-to-day performance and long-term goals.
• Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams (sales, data operations, product development).
• Excellent communication skills for engaging senior leadership and aligning diverse teams.
