As an HSE Specialist at our Sasayama site, you will connect the front line with leadership, anticipate health, safety, and environmental risks, and turn insight into action. From regulatory compliance to accident prevention and environmental protection, you will drive audits, data-driven improvements, and a strong safety culture. Working with regulators, local communities, and our global HSE team, you’ll embed best practices across biosafety, radiation safety, process safety, and environmental management—making “safe and easy to work” the everyday standard.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and maintain and continuously improve the HSE management system
  • Implement and promote policies and initiatives to prevent accidents and occupational illnesses and to protect the environment
  • Collect, validate, and report site HSE data to the global team
  • Conduct risk assessments and manage mitigation plans, corrective actions, and follow-up activities
  • Audit and review work practices to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
  • Support incident investigations and root cause analyses, and deploy improvement measures across the global organization

Essential Requirements

  • Education level not specified
  • Certified Radiation Protection Supervisor (Class 1)
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in the EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) field, industry background not required
  • Strong communication skills in Japanese for internal and vendor interactions
  • Business-level English proficiency, both written and spoken
