Summary
Aligned with our corporate strategy and brand, this leader will design and implement a connected, multi-channel storytelling and thought-leadership approach to engage priority internal and external stakeholders globally. A key responsibility will be to mobilize the Corporate Affairs organization as ambassadors for the narrative, driving consistent activation across the enterprise.
In addition, the Executive Director will oversee high-impact special communications projects that are critical to shaping and protecting the company’s reputation.
About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Use data analytics and stakeholder insights, tracking real-time marketplace changes and dynamics, to develop a corporate narrative activation strategy that elevates our new company-wide strategy, ultimately enhancing our reputation as leader in breakthrough innovation.
- This includes, but is not limited to, identifying target audiences, key message creation, and selecting appropriate communications channels, platforms and measurement that deliver a competitive edge across leading industries.
- As a member of the Corporate Communications leadership team, lead alignment and coordination of Corp reputation and narrative activities across the entire corporate communications team, ensuring all teams have measurable multi-audience and thought leadership activation strategies in place.
- Ensure systematic implementation of CA-function wide measurement framework to track successful implementation of narrative activation strategy.
- Create compelling content for global internal and external Corporate channels, telling stories that educate, engage and inspire key stakeholders.
- Identifying new digital and AI tools that enhance effectiveness of narrative activation.
- As a key activation element of our narrative strategy, partner with the People and Culture communications team to support the global quarterly webcast planning and execution, and collaborating with other Corporate Affairs members on content strategy.
- Aligned with strategic pillars of new narrative, develop and execute a ratings, awards and rankings corporate reputation programme, aligned with CA functional leaders.
Desirable Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in a related field
- 15+ years diversified experience in strategic communications, brand management or corporate reputation management with a proven track record in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated success in achieving communications and organizational goals and outcomes
Benefits & Rewards
The salary for this position is expected to range between $214,900 and $399,100 per year. The final salary offered is determined based on factors like, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. Novartis may change the published salary range based on company and market factors. Your compensation will include a performance-based cash incentive and, depending on the level of the role, eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards. In addition, employees are eligible for a generous time off package including vacation, personal days, holidays and other leaves.
