About the Role

Join as an Automation Engineer, Senior Specialist at Novartis and play a vital role in the groundbreaking field of Radioligand Therapy. Key Responsibilities:

• PI System Implementation and Administration:
Deploy, configure, and administer OSIsoft's PI System to collect, store, and organize production data efficiently. Ensure the proper integration of PI System components with other automation systems and databases within the pharmaceutical production environment.
• Data Historian Management:
Manage the data historian functionality of the PI System, ensuring accurate and timely storage of process data. Configure and optimize data archiving, compression, and retrieval settings to balance storage efficiency with the need for historical data analysis.
• Real-time Monitoring and Analysis:
Develop and implement real-time monitoring solutions using PI System tools to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and critical process parameters. Analyze real-time data to identify trends, patterns, and deviations, enabling proactive decision-making and process optimization.
• Data Security and Compliance:
Implement and maintain robust security measures for the PI System, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of production data. Collaborate with compliance teams to establish and enforce data governance policies, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements such as GxP and 21 CFR Part 11.
• System Integration and Customization:
Customize and extend the functionality of the PI System through scripting, programming, or using OSIsoft's development tools to meet specific production data management needs.

Role Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field such as IT, Computer Science, Business Administration or similar
• Experience: Proven experience in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in system integration and project involvement.
• Technical Abilities: Proven experience in OSISOFT / AVEVA technology
• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Language: fluency in English
