About the Role
Location – Hyderabad #LI Hybrid
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring it is visible, transparent, and prioritized according to business value and stakeholder needs.
- Gather, define, and communicate product requirements in collaboration with stakeholders, end users, and cross-functional teams.
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and development teams, translating business objectives into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Prioritize features, enhancements, and bug fixes to maximize product value and align with strategic goals. Lead sprint planning, backlog refinement, and review sessions to ensure clear understanding and delivery of requirements.
- Continuously assess product progress, gather feedback, and iterate on requirements to drive continuous improvement.
- Monitor product performance metrics and KPIs, using data-driven insights to inform prioritization and decision-making. Foster strong relationships with Product Managers, System Architects, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on product vision and execution.
- Champion best practices in product ownership, agile methodologies, and value delivery within the team and across the organization. Contribute to standardizing product management processes and promoting a culture of accountability and collaboration.
Education (minimum/desirable): Masters/ PhD in Computer Sciences / IT or other quantitative sciences
Experience / Skills:
- 7+ years’ experience as a Product Owner or in a similar product management role.
- Proven experience in backlog management, requirements gathering, and stakeholder engagement. Strong understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and experience working in cross-functional teams.
- Business understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and data standards. Domain experience in at least one of the following areas – a) Pharma R&D, b) Manufacturing, Procurement and Supply Chain, c) Marketing and Sales.
- Experience in pharma/life sciences industry and sub domain like Market Access, Sales Force, Marketing or Medical strongly preferred.
- Experience with large data programs and digital product delivery. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Certifications such as CSPO (Certified Scrum Product Owner) or SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager are a plus.
