Summary
Critical to success in the role will be to ensure that Novartis is able to provide the depth of necessary information and evidence to key decision makers in terms of health outcomes and tailored studies that demonstrate value and compliment the cost containment goals of the government while driving innovation.
About the Role
Major accountabilities:
- Lead cross-functional value and access team to gather evidence which support payer value proposition and pricing strategy.
- Represent patient access in all major cross-functional teams at the program/brand level including Global Programme Teams, Global Brand Team and Global Medical Affairs Teams.
- Set up clear strategy and drive implementation of strategic initiatives to maximize opportunities in different fundings across self-pay, Public/Government funding, Private insurance by unlocking the reimbursement and developing innovative access solutions.
- Value & Access Head is a key strategic leadership role mandated to establish and build relationships with key influencers and decision makers for both private and public in order to facilitate bringing new therapies to market consistently and efficiently.
- This role will need to be diligent in focusing on cross functional alignment and collaboration while ensuring focus on priority assets in key markets to ensure the highest possible rate of success and return as measured by fast patient access while meeting overall revenue objectives.
- Actively participate the discussion and decision making process for price impacting and access related topics
- Reporting of technical complaints / adverse events / special case scenarios related to Novartis products within 24 hours of receipt
Key performance indicators:
- Reimbursement/listing status, price versus targets, time to reimbursement/access. Revenue, market availability/access
- Solutions/Program implemented for maximizing various funding sources and utilizations
- Engagement of the organization to access initiatives and co-creations
Minimum Requirements:
Work Experience:
- Postgraduate degree in sciences, business administration, health policy, health economic or other relevant qualification
- Deep understanding of payer/HTA across countries/regions.
- Process management.
- Experience with reimbursement dossier compilation.
- Project Management.
- Able to understand changing dynamics of Pharmaceutical industry
- Proficient and fluent in English (spoken and written), with good interpersonal and communication skills.
