About the Role:

We are seeking a Supply Chain Global Excellence Manager to help us driving the implementation of the Novartis NOSSCE Global Program (Class A) for TechOps entities around the world. Novartis Operational Standards for Supply Chain Excellence, the Novartis branding for an 8-10 year program to implement industry standard MRP2 processes across TechOps entities and Sales Affiliates

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Being a Novartis NOSSCE Site Master and apply deep MRP2 technical knowledge to lead a process to define, document and have approved by senior management the NOSSCE standards for the Novartis entities, working in collaboration with external consultants and business experts across the global TechOps network.
  • Deploy the approved global NOSSCE standards (Manual, Metrics handbook and Checklist), to all TechOps entities in scope, in order to provide the framework for NOSSCE Class A implementation at each individual site.
  • As an individual Program Manager, drive from initial NOSSCE implementation at a TechOps entity, as well as governing the sustainability of NOSSCE processes, behaviours and performance at entities that have already efficiently implemented NOSSCE.
  • Influence, direct and coach global, regional and local senior Leaders to enable a successful NOSSCE program implementation at TechOps entities (Technology Platform Heads, Platform Supply Chain Heads, Site Heads, Site Leadership Teams and Project Leads). Effective senior customer management is a critical aspect of this role.
  • Deliver effective education to each TechOps entity as part of their NOSSCE implementation project. Be able to explain Production planning, Demand and Supply Planning, and Inventory Management concepts to site senior leadership team and train the site population on those concepts and related technical elements. Create engagement and motivation in the site team. Analyse and resolve technical, managerial, and cultural / behaviour problems.
  • Influence the TechOps global communications team to ensure that there is appropriate and effective communication of the NOSSCE program across Novartis, to build understanding and momentum.

Essential Requirements:

  • At least 7-10 years of professional experience in a Supply Chain, Finance, or IT role. Preferably in Health Care, Consumer Goods, Chemical or another process industry
  • As an individual Program Manager, drive from initial NOSSCE implementation at a TechOps entity, as well as governing the sustainability of NOSSCE processes, behaviours and performance at entities that have already efficiently implemented NOSSCE.
  • Influence, direct and coach global, regional and local senior Leaders to enable a successful NOSSCE program implementation at TechOps entities (Technology Platform Heads, Platform Supply Chain Heads, Site Heads, Site Leadership Teams and Project Leads). Effective senior partner management is a critical aspect of this role.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Higher education (Bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent experience) in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, IT, Industrial Engineering or Science (Chemistry, Pharmacy).
