Summary

Location: <b> Bucharest </b> TA Medical Lead is responsible for shaping and driving near term and long-term medical strategy in allocated therapy area, aiming to improve patient access and outcomes. Provide medical input to the Integrated Product Strategy and drive the Integrated Evidence Generation Plan. When applicable, coordinate TA specific field-based medical team. Develop and execute the medical communication plan within allocated budget. Act as medical expert in the therapy area and provide internal medical guidance. Contribute to clinical development and life cycle management of Novartis portfolio, in close collaboration with Country, Regional, and Global teams. Represent voice of medical community within Novartis and ensure the best interest of patients and caregivers are met.

About the Role

<b>Your key responsibilities:</b>
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Lead early identification of drivers and barriers of patient journey, and the relevant target patient population outcomes (TPO)
• Build partnerships with healthcare professionals and organizations around common medical needs. Identify opportunities for joint value creation through engagement with the key scientific leaders and other key external players in the healthcare system 
• Identify Real World Evidence (RWE) and implementation science opportunities
• Facilitate local execution of Managed Access Programs (MAP), Investigator-Initiated research studies and Trials (IITs) and Research Collaborations (RC)
• Build and execute TA-specific medical communication plan; embraces OCE and digital
• Coordinate MSL team

<b>What you’ll bring to the role:</b>
• Previous working experience in healthcare system, or pharmaceutical industry (Medical role)
• MD, MSc, PhD titles on Medical (preferred), Pharm, Biol. and other life sciences
• Experience in successfully managing teams
• Cross-functional team management
• Strategic and analytical skills
• Growth mindset: Curiosity, innovative attitude, creativity, agility, learning appetite
