About the Role:

The Global Program Lead plays a crucial role in the success of strategic programs within Procurement. It is responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of these programs, meeting objectives, and gaining commitment and engagement from the Procurement Leadership Team and key partners.

The ideal candidate has a consistent record of driving and delivering large-scale programs in matrix organizations. As a global role, it requires the ability to engage intentionally with senior collaborators, demonstrating a systems approach and data analytics to provide high-quality insights that enable sound decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

- Initiate, lead, and support impactful programs or projects, aligning with project goals, timelines, costs, and established methodologies (such as Agile, Scrum, or Prince).
- Ensure the delivery of measurable value for the company by implementing appropriate tools and systems for tracking, reporting, and supervising progress.
- Conduct regular program reviews, proactively identify risks - and dependencies, and collaborate on mitigation strategies.
- Ensure successful project reviews and facilitate the sharing of standard methodologies.
- Drive all elements of project execution, including change and communication management.
- Facilitate and motivate change in a highly networked environment through senior partner engagement and management.
- Develop comprehensive collaborator engagement plans and lead change management activities to drive adoption.
- Facilitate specific training activities resulting from new processes, standards, and ways of working.
- Ensure that solutions and project results are properly designed, documented, and implemented in accordance with the agreed project methodology and process/solution design approach.
- Develop comprehensive reporting mechanisms, ideally using tools such as PowerBI, to provide accurate and timely updates to program steering committees, PLT, and other collaborators.
- Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations and reports that effectively communicate program status, risks, and opportunities for decision-making.

Role Requirements

Essential Requirements:

- Master's Degree or other advanced degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a similar field.
- Min. 10 years of relevant business experience in high matrix organizations.
- Ability to build and manage key partner relationships in a matrix organization, across geographies and cultures.
- Ability to network, collaborate, and lead work with involvement from Procurement senior management and cross-functional teams from various Novartis functions.
- Proven experience of successfully managing end-to-end project lifecycles, including scoping, problem-framing, detailed planning, and driving all elements of project execution.
- Advanced analytical skills supporting C-level decision-making, including the ability to derive insights from data and visualize them in a compelling manner (mainly using MS Excel and PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication skills: clearly and concisely in spoken and written English.

Desirable Requirements:
- Preferably more than 5 years of experience in Procurement or other related experience within the Healthcare/Pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on transformation programs and change management.
