About the Role

Function Purpose: Leads the Asset Life Cycle team, which is responsible for establishing, maintaining and improving maintenance processes related to buildings, equipment and utilities. The Asset Lifecycle Lead is also responsible for providing engineering-related tools and systems (calibration, engineering database, etc.).

Key responsibilities:
• Monthly preparation of engineering reports with the most important KPI's (Capex, Maintenance, HSE and Quality). Supporting internal and external audits. Implementing GOPs and technical standards. Create regional/site SOPs & templates, if necessary
• Contribute to the development of a talent pool of competent, high-performing people. Management of the training curricula for the own position and the team members. Implement the sharing and leveraging of best practices and expertise related to maintenance
• Define and implement the maintenance strategy, program and budget. Managing maintenance improvement projects and initiatives (local or global). Developing, monitoring and improving KPI's for maintenance & calibration
• Stimulating/improving technical availability, reliability and condition of equipment. Setting up cost-efficient repair and maintenance processes in accordance with local regulations, HSE, GMP. Defining and executing the equipment management strategy and correct asset lifecycle management
• Development of a contractual strategy and framework to manage suppliers/contractors and their contracts in the assigned region/site. Selection of suppliers/contractors. Drawing up supplier/contractor contracts
• Controlling/improving Technical Services (infrastructure, utilities), availability, reliability
• Management & coordination of centrally shared systems/databases and professional infrastructure for design, installation, qualification and lifecycle management of facilities and equipment
• Act as a system owner for the assigned systems
Responsible for ALCM systems and related business processes (SOPs, WPs)
• Definition/set-up/maintenance of service catalogs. Ensure availability, support and maintenance of technical systems and tools. Ensure that the system is validated and kept in a validated state

Role Requirements

Essential requirements:

Relevant experience:

• > 10 years of engineering experience of which 5 years in maintenance
• Broad leadership experience (successful project management) on large investment projects and/or large maintenance organization
• Excellent project management skills, including contract management and project appraisal/financial literacy
• Excellent communication skills, ability to effectively present complex ideas and solutions to executive management, technical experts, and regional/local teams
• In-depth technical knowledge of chemical and/or pharmaceutical processes and equipment
• Broad interdisciplinary knowledge
• Extensive HSE and GxP/QA knowledge

Education and qualifications:

• Diploma in engineering (Dipl. Ing. / M. Sc. / B. Sc.) or equivalent
• Fluent in English and proficient in the local language
