About the Role

Location: East Hanover, NJ #LI-Hybrid

About the Role: The Associate Director of Data Strategy & Solutions plays a key role in helping Novartis use data to understand people's health journeys better. This position will be responsible for figuring out how to get the right data and make it useful for the company's needs. This individual will be the go-to person for understanding different data sources and solutions, especially in the commercial Pharma/Oncology area, working closely with many different teams and leaders across the company including other data teams, Integrated Insights, and commercial teams.

Key Responsibilities:
• Spearhead the strategic development and execution of a cohesive, interconnected data strategy spanning various domains such as brands, customer effectiveness, market access, customer experience, marketing, AI, and ML initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with Integrated Insights, Sales & Marketing, data science, customer experience, Patient services, and other relevant teams to identify data opportunities for US brands.
• Craft a roadmap for strategy implementation and overseeing the deployment of data acquisition and enablement solutions to meet business needs, including leading vendor evaluations to ensure alignment with prioritized data requirements.
• Ensure data integrity by partnering with Data Governance and Data Quality teams to address the specific data validity needs of US operations.
• Serve as an internal authority on US healthcare data and providing expertise on data sources and their application, optimizing the utilization of each data asset.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders across Novartis organizations to maximize the use of data in improving health outcomes and operational efficiencies.
• Oversee the development and application of data solutions to address complex healthcare challenges and drive enhanced patient outcomes and product utilization.
• Establish and monitor performance goals and project timelines aligned with Novartis's strategic objectives.
• Data acquisition and contracting for various brands
• Spearhead the data literacy for Novartis

This position will be located at the East Hanover, NJ site and will not have the ability to be located remotely. Please note that this role would not provide relocation and only local candidates will be considered.

Role Requirements

What You’ll Bring to the Role:

Education: Bachelor’s degree required

Essential Requirements:
• At least 6 years focused on data strategy, insights, or analytics with project or program management experience
• Demonstrated track record in crafting and executing data & analytics solutions within the healthcare/life science realm.
• Proficiency in comprehending health and life sciences data frameworks, data modeling techniques, and data governance principles.
• Effective communication skills to convey intricate data concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations and data privacy standards.

Desirable Requirements:
• Masters degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Bioinformatics, Mathematics, or a related field

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $166,400 and $249,600/year; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/24 through 12/31/24, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
