About the Role:

As HSE Expert for Process safety you'll be responsible for supporting preparation, leading and execution of health, safety and environment (HSE) programs, and activities on site or country level, You will be working on process risk analyses in manufacturing sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• You will be leading and managing the program of process safety in local manufacturing sites, in compliance with Novartis guidelines.
• Coordinating and leading risk analyses (HAZOP / ZHA, Ex, PRORA etc).
• Standardize efforts for implementation of the Process Safety concept.
• Conducts risk assessments and establish risk mitigation plans within the area of responsibility. Evaluates and reports risks / findings / opportunities for improvement to relevant stakeholders to ensure that immediate actions or interim risk solutions are taken. Monitors overall execution of corrective and preventive actions and takes appropriate actions to ensure their implementation.
• Identifying possible hazards for process safety, implementing needed saftey measures and providing support for effective hazard management.
• Providing support with program, plans and goals preparation for Health, Safety & Environment department – manufacturing process safety.
• Networking with process safety experts at the site level and at the global level.
• Supports timely response to safety incidents and emergency situations.

Role Requirements

Essential Requirements:

• University degree in chemistry / chemical technology, process engineering or similar.
• Occupational Safety and Health Certification desired. Fire Safety Certification desired.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience related to engineering and process technology / chemical technology.
• Good understanding of chemistry and understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Advanced level in English is required. Fluent Slovenian language is a must.
