About the Role

Location: Applications from all Poland are welcome

The Medical Field Lead is responsible for leading the medical field operations plan and for achieving agreed medical KPIs and broader performance targets for their respective Priority Brands scientifically engaging and collaborating. Additional to that the respective Medical Field Lead will be aligning with a broad range of external stakeholders to address identified patient needs and ultimately change the practice of medicine for better patient access and outcomes.

Medical Field Lead will also develop a medical field Medical Science Liaison team through continuous training and coaching as well as will be responsible for leading MSL work in the Field, optimizing time allocation and fostering agility for best customer engagement and TA impact.

A strong collaboration with Medical TA Leads and Medical Evidence Generation Manager & Medical Pipeline Manager is crucial to ensure well defined MSL narratives for the respective priority areas.

Your key responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


Strategic and Business Mindset
•Responsible to develop a medical field operations plan and activities based on insights from patients, HCPs, HCS and policy makers to strategically shape disease area and optimize patient reach.
•Leads in close collaboration with T/A Medical Leads and develops the medical field strategies to maximize clinical potential of compounds at early or late stage of their life cycle
•Manages thoughtful risk to benefits and value to patient return on investment when considering priorities, resourcing, and strategic plans to drive business decisions. On top of that, lead and develop the medical launch strategies and activities for field operations in close collaboration with the medical and cross-functional teams using scientific information, implement impactful medical education programs and science plans.

Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
•Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with top clinicians in collaboration with other internal stakeholders across a wide range of complex and high value situations to drive outcomes
•Analyzes unmet medical needs, disease and competitive landscape, treatment practice, patient journey, stakeholder perceptions and how to translate these into strategic advantages while addressing the needs of Health Care Systems.
•Exchange inputs and insights with the TA Medical Leads and Medical Evidence Generation Manager & Medical Pipeline Manager, to develop key strategic projects.

HCS Thinking
•Co-develops pipeline strategy with TA Medical Leads, Medical Evidence Generation Manager & Medical Pipeline Manager, considering Health Care System's dynamics and needs focusing on inter-relationships of the HCS, analyze new insights and shifts mind-sets about the long-term consequences of interventions on the relationship and trust with Novartis.
•Collaborates with commercial teams to discuss HCP’s and HCS’ dynamics and takes decisions accordingly as well as leverage multiple stakeholder perspectives and approaches to co-create value and build commitment.

Agile and Innovative leadership
•Proactively assumes an entrepreneurial mindset by thinking creatively out of the box, in order to generate and implement disruptive and innovative ideas and solutions
•Advocates innovations and promotes uptake to stay on the cutting edge of best practice as well as anticipates and adapts plans swiftly to changes, new therapy areas, new insights, digital tools and technologies, integrates and acts on learnings and shares these
•Coach on deep understanding challenges with respect to patient access and patient care.

Role Requirements

Essential Requirements :
•MD or PhD/PharmD in Health Sciences. Desired: Specialist Degree or specialist qualification related to one of the priority disciplines: Oncology, Hematology, Cardiology, Nephrology, Neurology, Immunology. Business degree (e.g. MBA)
•Languages : Polish and English on fluent spoken and written level.
•Pharmaceutical industry experience as well as significant clinical and research background GCP
•Strong medical and scientific bases and agility to transverse the diseases’ arena
•Strong medical and scientific writing skills
•Good planning and organizational skills
•Strong business acumen
•Strong communication skills and customer orientation

Desired Requirements :
•Preferred experience in field medical activities
•Preferred experience in people management
