Your key responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Lead global, cross-functional project teams or workstreams of major strategic programs in a variety of areas within Novartis (e.g: biomedical research, drug development, manufacturing, commercial divisions)
• Program objectives and challenges to be solved can range from target operating model, operational excellence, strategy, M&A, data & digital, program management, change management to implementation of enterprise tools
• Ensure solution and project results are properly designed and implemented with little supervision, and in accordance with the agreed project methodology and approach
• Build and maintain trust with stakeholders in global, high-level leadership positions and work collaboratively with project partners towards a common goal
• Take a lead role on continuous improvement and innovation of internal services (e.g. critical initiatives, team learning and culture, capability groups, business units, methodology development)
• Coach & mentor others on industry tools and on consulting team values and behaviors
• Actively support leadership on proposal development and find opportunities to expand consulting solutions and project portfolio

Role Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:

• 5+ years of experience with project delivery ideally in any of these areas: Management consulting, Post-merger integration, Pharma / Biosciences, Technology, Financial Services or Manufacturing industries
• Successful track record in solving business problems in at least one of these areas: Operating Model design, Operational Excellence, Strategy, Program / Project Management, IT implementation, Change Management, M&A, Data & Digital
• Experience with end-to-end project lifecycle including planning and all elements of project execution
• Experience in managing small consulting teams and empowering partners of widely varying backgrounds across an organization
• Demonstrated track record of being a team player (‘Team Before Self’) - Protecting, developing, and recognizing teammates
• Proven knowledge or certifications in any of the following areas: Agile, Design Thinking, Project Management, Organizational Design, Lean Six Sigma, Change management, Coaching, Process Design Improvement
• Proficient English – Due to the international environment, the business language of Novartis and the consulting team is English (a second European language is advantageous); Highly proficient in Microsoft Suite

Desirable requirements:

• Master’s degree in business, scientific or technical area
• Experience working in an international environment or abroad

You’ll receive:
