About the Role
Key Accountabilities:
- Develop and implement a clear communication strategy that reflects organizational priorities and strengthens Novartis’ business and reputation.
- Partner with site leadership and Biomedical Research teams to drive associate engagement and ensure consistent messaging.
- Lead internal communication initiatives, including managing channels and crafting messages that resonate with employees. Design and coordinate integrated communication plans aligned with strategic goals and business objectives. Lead, collaborate, and co-create content, identify platforms and media opportunities for leader participation
- Oversee day-to-day strategic and operational communication activities, ensuring timely execution and alignment with global standards. Ensure adherence to Novartis communication policies and brand guidelines, maintaining consistency and quality across all touchpoints.
- Manage crisis and issue communication planning and execution, safeguarding organizational reputation.
- Drive special projects and strategic initiatives as required by leadership.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including timely reporting of technical complaints/adverse events and distribution of marketing samples (where applicable).
- Work closely with External comms team to have appropriate representation of NOCC across channels
- Establish mechanisms to measure effectiveness and business impact of communications.
- Partner with the identified leaders to drive the reputation agenda using their channels and engagement in the external ecosystem
- Quality and timeliness of development of integrated communication plans and programs -Management and implementation of communication plans, campaigns and projects against business objectives and priorities.
- Maturity of business relationship(s), incl. at senior levels of the organization.
Essential Requirements:
- 15years professional experience in communications role. University degree in communications, business or science
- Proven experience in cross-cultural environments. Experience in GCC highly desirable
- Strong background in implementing strong communication strategies and project execution.
- Expertise in change management and crisis communication.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across boundaries and manage complex projects.
- Proficiency in marketing communications and reputation management.
- Effective stakeholder relationship management – proven ability to build trust in stakeholders and influence decision-making.
- Experience in developing and managing executive voice and leadership communication.
