The mission of our Postdoctoral program is to train and inspire the next generation of scientific leaders in a unique drug discovery environment. Our Innovation and Discovery Postdoctoral Fellowships offer exciting opportunities for talented scientists to join our teams at the Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR) and perform cutting-edge research with guidance from world-class scientists.

Novartis Innovation Postdoctoral Fellowship

The Innovation Postdoctoral Fellowship empowers aspiring drug hunters to gain first-hand experience in the design and development of breakthrough therapies and innovative technologies. Scientific leaders at NIBR mentor Innovation Fellows, who benefit from a robust curriculum, including a drug discovery and development boot camp and tailored rotations in scientific and business disciplines.

Novartis Discovery Postdoctoral Fellowship

Discovery Postdoctoral Fellows tackle key fundamental scientific questions with guidance from a NIBR principal investigator, and from an academic advisor where appropriate. Projects are often interdisciplinary in nature, bridging different disease areas or combining biology, chemistry and computational approaches. Discovery Fellows have the opportunity to publish their research in high-caliber peer-reviewed journals and present at international meetings. We encourage applications from candidates who wish to pursue a career in academia or industry.
