About the Role
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of complex scientific publications, manuscripts and foundational medical content across therapeutic areas.
- Translate clinical and scientific data into clear, compelling and scientifically rigorous communications.
- Drive the delivery of pivotal publications, scientific communications platforms and publication planning materials.
- Manage multiple publication and content projects simultaneously while ensuring quality, compliance and timeliness.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to align scientific content with strategic communication objectives.
- Champion first-time-right delivery through excellence in scientific writing, review and project execution.
- Identify and implement innovative process improvements that enhance team efficiency and content quality.
- Build and maintain trusted partnerships with internal experts, authors and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with publication guidelines, quality standards, operating procedures and documentation requirements.
- Mentor colleagues, share best practices and contribute to a culture of continuous learning.
Essential for the role:
- Advanced scientific degree in life sciences, pharmacy, medicine or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience developing scientific publications, manuscripts, abstracts, posters and medical communications.
- Strong understanding of clinical research, drug development and scientific evidence generation.
- Exceptional scientific writing skills with the ability to communicate complex data clearly and accurately.
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects while delivering to quality standards and timelines.
- Experience working effectively within global cross-functional and matrixed environments.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and build trusted relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Desirable for the role:
- PhD, Doctor of Medicine or equivalent advanced qualification in a scientific or medical discipline.
- Experience supporting global publication strategy and scientific communications within the pharmaceutical industry, ideally within immunology or a related therapy area.

Expected Annual Base Salary Range for role: 75,880.00 to 140,920.00 EUR
The base salary offered is determined based on gender-neutral objectives, such as relevant skills, competencies and experience in accordance with the Novartis pay setting policy and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically.
In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for a performance-based bonus depending on certain performance parameters.
