Associate Director BPA - Biomedical Research

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with global research leaders to shape financial strategy and support critical business decisions.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning across Biomedical Research functions.
• Deliver insightful financial reporting and analysis that drives performance and resource optimization.
• Identify risks and opportunities through proactive financial monitoring and early warning indicators.
• Provide strategic decision support through business cases, investment evaluations, and scenario analyses.
• Conduct benchmarking and value-added analyses to improve resource allocation and financial outcomes.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performing environment that promotes continuous learning and capability development.

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Information, or a related discipline.
• Significant experience in financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis.
• Proven experience within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
• Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and collaborate across multiple business functions.
• Strong project management skills with experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives.
• Excellent communication skills with fluency in spoken and written English.

Desirable Requirements

• Experience supporting global research, development, or innovation-focused organizations.
• Advanced expertise in financial modeling, investment evaluation, and net present value analysis.

Expected Annual Base Salary Range for role: €59,100 to  €109,700   

The base salary offered is determined based on gender-neutral objectives, such as relevant skills, competencies and experience in accordance with the Novartis pay setting policy and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. 

In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for a performance-based bonus depending on certain performance parameters.
