As Medical CRM & Neuroscience Lead, you will play a pivotal role in advancing Novartis’ scientific impact across neuroscience and other priority disease areas. You will translate medical strategy into meaningful field engagement, act as a trusted scientific partner to the healthcare ecosystem, and lead a strong Medical Science Liaison organization with purpose, integrity, and excellence. Through insight-driven decision making and compliant execution, you will help strengthen Novartis’ scientific reputation while improving outcomes for patients who need us most.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute the field medical strategy across neuroscience and priority disease areas, aligned with global direction
  • Serve as the country scientific leader, driving high-quality, compliant scientific engagement with healthcare professionals
  • Coach, develop, and guide the Medical Science Liaison team to deliver consistent, high-impact field excellence
  • Translate external insights into strategic recommendations that shape medical plans and decision making
  • Build and sustain trusted partnerships with medical experts, scientific societies, and academic institutions
  • Ensure excellence in medical education, scientific communication, and capability building initiatives
  • Champion compliance, governance, and ethical standards across all field medical activities

Essential Requirements

  • Advanced scientific degree such as Doctor of Medicine (is a must)
  • Minimum seven years of experience in Medical Affairs or Clinical Development within pharmaceutical or biotechnology organizations
  • Proven ability to design and execute medical strategies across the full product lifecycle
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing Medical Science Liaison or field medical teams
  • Strong expertise in interpreting, communicating, and applying complex clinical and scientific data
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
  • Solid understanding of compliance, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards in medical engagement

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience within neuroscience, rare diseases, or cardio-renal therapeutic areas
  • Exposure to regional or global medical roles with the ability to translate strategy into local execution
