The Data Quality & Governance Manager is accountable for defining, implementing, and continuously improving data governance and data quality practices across the organization. The role ensures that data is accurate, consistent, compliant, and fit for business use by establishing governance frameworks, quality controls, data stewardship processes, and performance monitoring mechanisms.
About the Role
Major Accountabilities
- Establish, implement, and continuously improve the enterprise-wide data governance framework, policies, standards, and controls.
- Define and manage data ownership, stewardship, accountability models, and governance operating processes across data domains.
- Ensure compliance with data governance principles, regulatory requirements, and organizational data management standards.
- Lead and facilitate governance councils, forums, stakeholder engagements, and decision-making processes.
- Define, monitor, and report data quality KPIs, metrics, thresholds, and dashboards to drive data quality outcomes.
- Oversee data quality management activities including profiling, audits, issue resolution, root cause analysis, and remediation.
- Lead governance maturity assessments, automation initiatives, and continuous improvement programs to enhance data quality and operational efficiency.
Minimum Requirements
- Proven experience in Data Governance, Data Quality Management, Master Data Management (MDM), and Metadata Management.
- Min 6-8 years of demonstrated experience designing and implementing enterprise data governance frameworks and operating models.
- Strong understanding of data cataloging, data lineage, metadata management, data architecture, and data lifecycle management.
- Experience establishing data quality standards, controls, monitoring processes, and remediation frameworks.
- Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, influencing, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- DCAM certification and experience conducting governance maturity assessments and annual DCAM activities.
