FRA Process & Data mining Manager

About the role:

The role of the Process & Data mining Manager will be to deliver insights into business processes using Process and Data mining and BI technologies. He will have the responsibility to provide internal stakeholders including senior management with anomalies detected across financial processes highlighting associated operational issues, fraud and financial risks leveraging a vast set of internally generated data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support Novartis Finance Process and Data mining operations within the dedicated Competency Centre

• Get along with internal customers as subject matter expert on process/data mining solutions

• Implement compliance and controls monitoring reports defined for the entities covered in the scope, ensuring compliance, output quality & defined conventions / standards.

• Implement process/data mining solutions but also develop predictive analytics on Finance Big Data capabilities

• Ensure high level of solution usability while meeting business requirements

• Deliver Process and mining service to internal customers, and Operationalize robust standard processes supported by tools and systems, reflecting standard processes, supported by a control framework

• Safeguard Novartis assets by improving financial control toolkit with modern technologies

• Provide actionable insights into the business processes with focus on improvement impact and value generation

• Meet Novartis digital entrepreneurial requirements, accelerate the time-to-value and drive measurable business outcomes

• Build and share customer success stories across Novartis

• Ensure relevant SOX requirements are met

Key Requirements:

• High quality of management reporting services allowing efficient analyses of business performance

• Timeliness of reporting and follow-up on resolution of identified issues. 

• Level of innovation in developing and improving reporting and desk top analyses

• CAA/MBA (Finance) or Equivalent/University Degree ideally in accounting, finance, or economics

• Working experience with Process Mining Technology and in delivering Process Mining Projects (preferably leveraging Celonis)

• Understand Finance Processes such as Order to cash, Source to Pay, Record to Report

• Experience in Big Data, Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS accounting standards

• Strong written and oral communication skills
