As a QC Specialist II (m/f/d), you will play a vital role in maintaining laboratory compliance, supporting analytical equipment throughout its lifecycle, and driving continuous improvement across quality systems. Working in a collaborative and highly regulated environment, you will contribute to product quality, operational excellence, and regulatory readiness while helping deliver innovative medicines that make a meaningful difference in people's lives.
About the Role
We offer a 2 years contract.
Major Accountabilities:
- Manage analytical equipment throughout its lifecycle while ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
- Execute laboratory activities and documentation in accordance with Good Practice standards and approved procedures.
- Review, compile, and approve quality records and technical documentation within required timelines.
- Maintain and improve standard operating procedures, analytical methods, and laboratory processes.
- Investigate laboratory events, deviations, and out-of-expectation results to support timely resolution.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external laboratories to coordinate quality control activities.
- Support inspections, audits, change controls, and continuous improvement initiatives across the laboratory.
Obligatory Requirements:
- University degree in natural sciences or relevant vocational training with equivalent professional experience.
- Three to five years of experience in a pharmaceutical or manufacturing quality environment.
- Practical experience working in a Good Manufacturing Practice regulated laboratory.
- Strong knowledge of quality control processes, quality systems, and compliance requirements.
- Fluent German and English communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Proven ability to collaborate across teams and drive quality-focused solutions.

In accordance with Austrian law, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary as stated in the collective bargaining agreement. For this position the minimum salary is €59,781.96 EUR/year (on a full-time basis). We also offer a potential market oriented excess payment in line with your experience and qualifications.

Expected Annual Base Salary Range for role:
- Austria: EUR 60,978.00 - 95,800.00 EUR
The salary offered is determined based on gender-neutral objectives, such as relevant skills, competencies and experience in accordance with the Novartis pay setting policy and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically.
In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for a performance-based bonus depending on certain performance parameters. Further details will be provided during the application process.
