About the Role

Join our team as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL):

  • You will act as a bridge between the medical and scientific community and our company. Your main responsibility will be to establish and nurture relationships with healthcare providers and professionals to ensure the timely and ethical dissemination of clinical and scientific information about Novartis' compounds.
  • Develop strong relationships and engage in scientific dialogue with medical experts and partners to provide access to the latest scientific information on Novartis products.
  • Create and execute plans to align development activities effectively.
  • Provide healthcare professionals with scientific information and present up-to-date data on our products.
  • Support investigational sites and collaborate with the Translational Medical Office (TMO) and Medical Advisors to recommend investigators for our clinical programs.
  • Assist the Medical Advisor in setting up, implementing, and executing Novartis-sponsored local clinical studies.
  • Educate medical professionals, speakers, and investigators on emerging scientific and medical data.
  • Prepare meeting deliverables, attend medical meetings, gather customer feedback, and evaluate the impact of competitive information to share both internally and externally.

What We're Looking For:

  • A relevant qualification, such as a PhD, PharmD, or medical qualification, would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of clinical medicine, disease management, and medical research, preferably in immunology field, with a good understanding of the Australian Healthcare System.
  • Previous experience in establishing and maintaining positive relationships with decision-makers as a MSL or we would consider candidates who are new to the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Ability to analyse recent scientific information within strategic and regulatory frameworks while maintaining personal integrity and a customer focus.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, negotiation, and advanced presentation skills, with the ability to contribute effectively to multifunctional teams.
  • Strong organisational skills, capable of prioritizing tasks on the go and thriving in a dynamic, field-based environment.
