About the Role
Major accountabilities:
- Develop and manage civil and infrastructure projects within pharmaceutical manufacturing and research facilities.
- Prepare technical concepts, feasibility studies, cost estimates, and project scopes.
- Coordinate engineering activities with production, maintenance, quality, EHS, utilities, and external contractors.
- Ensure project execution complies with GMP requirements, safety regulations, and applicable building codes.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, procurement activities, and contractor performance.
- Support all project phases from concept development through engineering, construction, commissioning, and handover.
- Review technical drawings, specifications, calculations, and contractor deliverables.
- Contribute to site master planning and support strategic investment projects.
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering (Construction), Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or equivalent.
- Experience in civil, industrial, or infrastructure projects within a highly regulated industrial environment.
- Knowledge of construction methods, structural engineering principles and building regulations.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously from concept through execution.
- Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and external contractors.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English.
Desirable requirements:
- Pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical, food industries.
- Industrial buildings, utilities, warehouses, cleanrooms, foundations, steel structures, roofing, HVAC support structures and site infrastructure projects.
- CAPEX project management and contractor management.
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or BIM-based design tools is an advantage.

Expected Annual Base Salary Range: 52.200 - 96.900 EUR.
The base salary offered is determined based on gender-neutral objectives, such as relevant skills, competencies and experience in accordance with the Novartis pay setting policy and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed
periodically.
