As a QC Specialist, you will take on a key role in our QCMD team: you will be responsible for incoming testing, ensure compliance with our quality standards, and make sure that our laboratory processes run smoothly and efficiently. Through your contribution, you will play a significant role in ensuring that our products reach patients safely and reliably.
About the Role
Your area of responsibility:
- Teamwork & Communication – You actively support colleagues, share your knowledge, and ensure transparent communication of goals and performance metrics.
- Laboratory Operations & Quality Assurance – You support laboratory analysts in their day-to-day work, ensure smooth operations, and review QC analyses for accuracy and completeness.
- Leadership & Development – You promote the personal and professional development of your colleagues through targeted guidance, training, and feedback.
- Quality Management & GxP Compliance – You support deviation investigations, participate in GxP audits and inspections, and ensure compliance with current quality requirements.
- Process Improvement & Innovation – You promote continuous improvement, operational excellence, and innovation within the team, and actively support OpEx projects.
- Responsibility & Escalation – You report potential risks to the quality system or product quality in accordance with the escalation guidelines of the Novartis Quality Manual.
Requirements:
- Laboratory technician training and 3–5 years of experience in areas relevant to this position, or comparable education/training, such as a degree.
- Flexible, resilient, and solution-oriented mindset with a commitment to continuous learning.
- Ability to handle ambiguity and adapt in a dynamic, regulated environment.
- Very good German skills and good English skills.
- High self-awareness and sense of responsibility in a collaborative team environment.

In accordance with Austrian law, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary as stated in the collective bargaining agreement. For this position the minimum salary is € 59.781,96/year (on a full-time basis). We also offer a potential market oriented excess payment in line with your experience and qualifications.
