  • Novartis Slovenia presented Legebitra with a donation to support their work.
  • The donation reflects Novartis core values of diversity, equity and inclusion, which the company stands for every day.

Novartis Slovenia presented Legebitra with a EUR 4,000 donation for technical equipment. The donation to Legebitra, which improves the social and personal situation of minorities through professional and accessible activities, reflects companies core values of diversity, equity and inclusion, which they strive for on a daily basis, both locally and globally.

Donation to Legebitra for a more inclusive society

The donation was handed over by Nejc Jaka Sekula, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Head Talent, in the company of his colleagues, who said: "At Novartis, we strive to create an inclusive work environment that enables employees to be true to themselves, regardless of their sexual orientation, identity and/or expression, without fear of discrimination. Legebitra is one of our key partners in this area, and this donation supports the continued work of an organisation that plays a central role in creating a fair environment for the LGBTQI+ community in Slovenia, considering the intersectionality of other personal circumstances. We are pleased that our collaboration is contributing to a better understanding of the barriers faced by minorities and to finding ways in which the company can address these barriers and promote greater inclusion."

Novartis Slovenia and Legebitra have been working together since 2019, and over the years have helped the company to implement several improvements to system solutions, such as the use of inclusive terminology in our computer tools. We also worked together on a project to draft legislative changes to eliminate discrimination on the grounds of gender and sexual orientation. We have also raised awareness of our company’s culture at Legebitra events, and have jointly organised several LGBTQI+ workshops and talks for employees. At Novartis, as well as pushing the boundaries of science, we are also creating important shifts towards a more inclusive society.
