The Therapeutic Area Head, Immunology & Neuroscience, is a strategic leader responsible for driving the growth, performance, and long-term success of the portfolio in Colombia. This role shapes and executes integrated brand and launch strategies, ensuring excellence across commercialization, customer engagement, and cross-functional execution. The incumbent partners closely with global, regional, and local stakeholders to accelerate innovation, deliver successful product launches, maximize business performance, and build high-performing teams while maintaining a strong focus on patients, customers, and sustainable growth.
About the Role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic direction and performance of the Immunology & Neuroscience portfolio, driving sustainable growth, market share, profitability, and successful execution of short- and long-term business objectives.
- Develop and execute integrated launch and brand strategies for current and future assets, ensuring strong cross-functional alignment and excellence in pre-launch, launch, and lifecycle management activities.
- Drive commercial excellence across marketing and sales, optimizing customer engagement, field force effectiveness, digital capabilities, and return on investment in a rapidly evolving healthcare environment.
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, payers, key accounts, patient ecosystems, and opinion leaders, to maximize patient access and business impact.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with Medical, Market Access, Customer Engagement, Public Affairs, and global/regional teams to ensure consistent execution of brand strategies and delivery of business priorities.
- Oversee portfolio and financial performance, including P&L accountability, forecasting, budgeting, resource allocation, and identification of growth opportunities through innovation, partnerships, and market insights.
- Develop a high-performing organization and talent pipeline, fostering a culture of leadership, agility, accountability, compliance, and continuous development across the therapeutic area team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, Master’s or equivalent) preferred.
- Proven leadership experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including responsibility for P&L, commercial strategy, portfolio management, and business performance.
- Strong expertise in Immunology, Neuroscience, Specialty Care, or related therapeutic areas, with demonstrated success in launches, lifecycle management, and market development.
- Extensive experience leading cross-functional teams and managing P&L, with a track record of delivering revenue growth, market share gains, and strategic business outcomes.
- Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, communication, and negotiation skills, with fluency in English and the ability to operate effectively in a complex, matrixed global environment.
