About the Role
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure safe, reliable operation of building systems and utility infrastructure across supported facilities
- Maintain and optimize heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems and associated utility equipment
- Develop, execute, and continuously improve preventive and corrective maintenance programs
- Troubleshoot equipment issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable corrective actions
- Support installation, commissioning, and turnover of new equipment and facility systems
- Manage contractors and vendors for maintenance activities, repairs, and small capital projects
- Drive improvements in utility performance, reliability, and facility key performance indicators
The salary for this position is expected to range between $81,200 and $150,800 per year.
The final salary offered is determined based on factors like, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. Novartis may change the published salary range based on company and market factors.
Your compensation will include a performance-based cash incentive and, depending on the level of the role, eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards.

Essential Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field or equivalent experience required.
- 2+ years of industrial experience required (GMP Biotech/biopharma industry preferred) w/ Bachelor’s degree; 5+ years of experience required (GMP Biotech/biopharma industry
- Strong knowledge of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems and site utility equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and apply structured root cause analysis
- Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional, fast-paced operational teams
- Clear written and verbal communication skills with a strong focus on safety and compliance
