The gold award was granted to the innovation “Molecularly informed drug development”, developed by colleagues from Technical Research and Development (TRD). This advanced hybrid approach combines molecular modeling, machine learning, and laboratory data, and is supported by the internally developed digital platform LabApp, which centralizes data collection and analysis. The innovation significantly accelerates development processes and contributes to faster access to new therapies for patients.
The second gold award was granted to an innovation related to the breast cancer medicine, developed through collaboration between the ChemOps Mengeš and the Solids Ljubljana. The teams developed a new, improved formulation for the treatment of breast cancer, addressing challenges related to nitrosamine impurities. The new formulation meets the highest regulatory and safety standards and enables broader patient access to innovative treatment.
The innovation in breast cancer treatment has also been shortlisted at the national level of the innovation awards in Slovenia. The national awards ceremony will take place in September 2026 as part of Innovation Day.
