As Director Access Excellence, you will lead the data and analytics strategy and the governance backbone of our Value and Access organization—designing an enterprise access key performance indicator framework across pre‑launch, launch, post‑launch, and loss of exclusivity, and embedding metric‑led decisions in leadership forums.
You will orchestrate a disciplined book of work, strengthen access governance and knowledge systems, and enable data‑driven decision making through high‑quality dashboards and performance insights.
You will steward the annual budget, linking investment to outcomes, and partner closely across Health Economics and Outcomes Research, Pricing, Therapy Area Access, Access Excellence, Finance, and regional teams.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strengthen governance processes and manage the enterprise book of work across all Access pillars.
  • Drive operational excellence and maintain a robust access performance and governance framework.
  • Enable data‑driven decision making through high‑quality dashboards, key performance indicators, and performance insights.
  • Design and oversee enterprise access key performance indicators across pre‑launch, launch, post‑launch, and loss of exclusivity phases.
  • Lead the annual budget cycle for Value and Access, ensuring alignment to strategic priorities and performance outcomes.
  • Track spend versus impact and support business cases, investment decisions, and budget trade‑offs.
  • Maintain high data integrity and embed metric‑led decision making across leadership forums.
  • Build a culture of accountability, learning, and continuous improvement with cross‑functional partners.
  • Collaborate effectively in a global matrix to balance diverse perspectives and business priorities.
  • Ensure consistent adherence to Ethics, Risk, and Compliance processes across all activities.

Essential Requirements:

  • At least eight years of experience in Value and Access or Operational Excellence within healthcare environments.
  • Minimum two years of international or regional experience supporting access or operational excellence activities.
  • Proven ability to design and implement key performance indicator frameworks and access governance processes.
  • Strong knowledge of access data sources, systems, and governance models across global or matrixed settings.
  • Demonstrated experience managing budgets and linking investment decisions to performance outcomes.
  • Comfortable operating in complex, matrixed organizations and collaborating across multiple functional partners.
  • Skilled in developing dashboards and insights that enable data‑driven leadership decisions.
  • Track record of supporting cross‑functional teams and managing competing priorities with discipline and structure.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Advanced degree (Master of Business Administration, Doctor of Philosophy, Doctor of Medicine, or Registered Pharmacist).
  • Five or more years of international or regional market experience beyond the minimum.

Location: This role can be based in Basel, Switzerland or London, UK.
