About the Role
Major accountabilities:
- Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives across IT domains, including requirements gathering, specification definition, demand management, and execution of sourcing strategies.
- Plan, organize, and manage procurement projects by balancing priorities, resources, budgets, risks, and constraints to meet defined objectives and timelines.
- Execute the complete Source-to-Contract (S2C) process, including market analysis, strategy development, RFP management, supplier evaluation, and contract negotiation using fact-based, adaptive negotiation approaches.
- Partner with stakeholders to identify cost-effective demand management opportunities that support IT, business, and Procurement goals.
- Ensure strategic alignment between business requirements and Novartis procurement strategies, driving consistency, transparency, and compliance.
- Analyze and challenge specifications to optimize requirements, improve supplier competitiveness, and maximize value for internal customers.
- Build and sustain strong stakeholder relationships, demonstrating an understanding of business priorities, operating models, and cross-functional dependencies.
- Drive continuous improvement, contributing to year-on-year productivity, process enhancements, and value delivery.
Minimum Requirements
- 5–10 years of experience in IT Procurement or Technology Sourcing.
- Strong project management capabilities with demonstrated experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives.
- Proven stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at multiple organizational levels.
- Expertise in vendor management, including performance evaluation, governance, and relationship management.
- Experience in root cause analysis, problem-solving, and customer needs assessment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
