As the Head of Novartis P&O US and US P&O country, Vicki Rawlinson is dedicated to bringing together and nurturing the best talent in the industry to unlock our potential to reimagine medicine together.
Inspired to help people and businesses reach their full potential, Vicki is a values-first global human resources (HR) leader who has been driving people, talent and culture vision and strategy at Novartis for the past 20 years. She and her team in the US empower the growth of our business through workplace planning, innovation, people, leader and organizational development, and cultivating our culture.

Prior to this appointment, Vicki was Global P&O Head, Development, based in Basel, where she was instrumental in the formation of our current Novartis Development organization. She joined Novartis in 2003 as HR Business Partner, Oncology North America, Latin America and Emerging Growth Markets and then assumed the position of Global Head, HR, Oncology. Just before moving to Basel, she was based in Cambridge as the Global HR Head, Vaccines and Diagnostics.
Before joining Novartis, Vicki worked for Citigroup Corporate and Investment Bank where she was Senior Vice President, managing HR for the Global Structured Finance Division’s 800 employees. Vicki has also held various HR positions at British Petroleum, Pfizer and New York University Medical Center.
Vicki holds a BS in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University.
She especially loves developing and mentoring future leaders, and you can usually find her outside running when not in the office.
