In Finance, our role is to ensure that our business can deliver innovative treatments to patients by optimizing resource allocation and partnering for smart risk-taking, especially as we pioneer new treatment modalities.
Melissa joined Novartis from General Motors in 2024, where she most recently served as Deputy CFO, Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) and Commercial, and previously served as CFO for the Electric Vehicles, Digital and Innovation. Prior to General Motors, she spent 24 years at PepsiCo, starting as a financial analyst and growing to SVP of Commercial Finance for the North America Beverages business.
Melissa received her Bachelor of Arts, Honours Business Administration degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University in Ontario, Canada.
Outside Novartis, Melissa enjoys travelling, hiking and playing sports with her husband and two teenagers.
