Elizabeth (Liz) McGee leads the US legal function, which supports the company’s ambition to become the most trusted medicines company in the world.

Over the course of her career, Liz has held a range of leadership positions, including General Counsel of Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation and Legal Counsel of Novartis Global Oncology. During her tenure at Novartis, Liz has provided legal guidance for numerous business integrations and supported key product launches across the portfolio.
A passionate people leader, Liz has contributed to the development of associates both within the Legal function and across the business. As a mentor and a manager, she consistently emphasizes the importance of building relationships to enhance business partnership and strives to create an environment for associates to drive impact.
Liz began her career as a litigation associate at the law firm of Mayer Brown where she represented Novartis on various matters. She received her Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts degree from Cornell University.
Liz lives in New York City with her two children.
