About the Role

About the role: This position acts as a strategic Finance partner for Head NOCC Hyderabad and Divisional Leadership team with a wide responsibility of financial reporting and statutory matters related to the legal entity (NHPL). This role provides sound financial leadership, drives superior decision-making support to formulate local policies, cost optimization and champions an entrepreneurial attitude while driving strong financial and operational compliances.

As a senior Finance Leader in NOCC Hyderabad, this position will also drive and support the Finance talent development agenda.

Key responsibilities:

  • Review the financials as part of WD2 and WD4 submissions and provide insights to the CFO to be able to provide sign off to the FRA teams.Work on preparation of overall NOCC Finance dashboard. Be a finance business partner for finance teams within IMI and IM US business. To work on annual budgets and forecast per planning cycles including tracking actuals and preparing LO’s and also raising invoices on NPAG
  • Ensure implementation of global processes – MAL/HR FAL and work closely with ERG groups and the ERC team to ensure all activities are aligned to ERC guidance and accounting policies. Provide leadership and coaching to all divisional Finance teams on relevant topics to ensure consistent financial practices within the legal entity
  • Collaborate with various teams like FRA, P&O services, Legal, Direct/Indirect tax teams to perform regular deep dives to drive operational excellence, identify root causes and initiate actions to mitigate or remediate any risks. Formulate/contribute to local policies and ensure adherence
  • Support local implementation of global change/transformation initiatives (Orbit, EPIC, ESPP , likely implementation of wage code etc. Bring out the financial impact of various policy changes that are proposed at site by various domains
  • Collate Spend forecast for site (Operations, Development NIBR, Pharma etc.) for submissions to tax and treasury team to be able to work on quarterly advance tax submissions and cash flow projections. Work closely with direct tax team to drive various tax compliances including and not limited to APA application. Collaborate with Indirect tax teams on relevant topics like EOU compliance for GV labs, GST implications on various transactions at a site level . Ensure Master Service Agreements are up-to-date with the changing scope of services and are aligned with local tax and regulatory requirements for services.
  • Work with FRA to monitor and reconcile NOCC margin and ensure it is in line with Transfer pricing / Service Income Reconciliation​. Drive alignment of local cross charges with CFOs across legal entities through Local Service Agreements / India Inter-Co Invoicing​ Agreements. Execute key Operational reviews at site applying a risk-based approach with an endeavor to achieve ‘anytime audit readiness’ state. Ensure good governance and reporting to the Site Leadership on operational compliances on KOMRISK
  • Support to site functions during audits and investigations including the preparation drills. ​

      Essential Requirements

  • Chartered Accountant or similar
  • 18 years of finance experience within pharmaceutical/consumer goods industry at country and HQ levels
  • Relevant financial experience in various areas (Controlling/BPA, Reporting, Audit)
  • Thorough understanding of relevant tax, regulatory and governance
  • Excellent financial modelling and control process design abilities

Desirable Requirements:

  • Ability to ensure compliance across a complex people intensive and functionally dispersed organization
  • Prefer to have understanding of Pharma business and financial issues including its regulatory environment (life science business process outsourcing experience preferred)
  • Strong and proactive business results focus and proven track record to provide insights that increase productivity
  • Shows strong sense of urgency in solving problems, getting work done, also through others in their coordination role
  • Maturity to deal with matters of confidentiality and sensitivity and work effectively in a matrix environment
  • Outstanding ability to collaborate across matrix organization
  • Ability to multi-task, take on ad hoc projects for review and financial case analysis
