Your Key Responsibilities
As Public Affairs Manager, you will be responsible for proactively managing Novartis’ public affairs agenda in Peru, ensuring sustained engagement with key stakeholders and readiness for innovative therapies.
- Lead the development and execution of the Public Affairs strategy for Peru, aligned with country and regional priorities
- Map, engage, and maintain strong relationships with government authorities, policy makers, regulators, industry associations, and external stakeholders
- Monitor and analyze the political, regulatory, and policy environment, providing strategic insights to anticipate risks and opportunities
- Develop and manage clear, consistent narratives across multiple topics, including access, innovation, and health policy
- Represent Novartis in industry associations and external forums, strengthening the company’s credibility and influence
- Partner closely with Regulatory, Access, Medical, and Corporate Affairs teams to address challenges related to innovative and advanced therapies
- Support the external environment readiness for new technologies, such as gene therapies and other complex innovations, in markets with evolving regulatory frameworks
- Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on public affairs implications, ensuring compliance and ethical engagement
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in Public Affairs, Government Affairs, Corporate Affairs, ideally within the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector
- Strong understanding of regulatory and public policy environments and their impact on innovative therapies
- Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with senior‑level stakeholders in both formal and informal settings
- Executive presence, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage complex narratives
- Exposure to advanced or innovative therapies (e.g., gene therapies or other high‑complexity products)
- Fluency in Spanish.
Preferred Experience
- Background in innovative pharmaceutical companies or regulated healthcare environments
- Prior experience collaborating with regulatory and access teams to shape external environments
- Fluent in English
