About the Role
Key responsibilities:
- Guides a cross-disciplinary team or brings together a broad functional community. May serveon leadership teams and/or decision boards to review evluations, projects and programs,assess progress, and provide multi-directional input to progress the BR pipeline; shares andcommunicates key information to team.
- Drives continuous improvement and provides deep insight with collaborators within area ofexpertise, and/or works with own team to build scientific, technical or early developmentexpertise and added value within department and across BR.
- Sets talent, leadership development, and culture priorities for own team or sets priorities formatrix team or functional community, in alignment with Novartis People Strategy and in closecollaboration with leadership team colleagues.
- Co-create top research organization to be one step ahead the market, contribute to long-termtalent and succession planning and/or collaborate to define talent attraction and developmentmodel surrounding own area of expertise.
- Sought after mentor and role model for talent development, coaching, and performancediscussions across the organization.
Essential Requirements:
- PhD / Pharm.D. level scientist with relevant experience in drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics or related biologic background
- 10+ years in the pharmaceutical industry and in drug discovery, development or a relevant environment (e.g. Clinical Pharmacology or Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics).
- Fluent oral and written Chinese and English
- Extensive and in-depth knowledge of drug metabolism andpharmacokinetics including, pharmacology PK and PK/PDevaluation, Immunogenicity (for PTM roles), techniques,experience in working in project teams (preferably global) and knowledge of regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and experience indealing with regulatory authorities and experienceconducting due diligence.
- Proficient with full range of techniques used in job and corearea. Working knowledge of tools and processes used in drug design and development.
- Extensive library research skills and knowledge of problemsolving techniques
- Extensive and in-depth knowledge of scientific discipline andrelevant laboratory tools and procedures if responsible forlab associated activity
- Sound and robust list of scientific publications and externalpresentations.
Desirable Requirements:
- Demonstrated success of working in cross functional project teams (preferably global) and sound awareness of recentdevelopments in drug development sciences.
- Good understanding of management and training principles
