Grants and charitable donations

Novartis UK is evolving its Grants and Donations process to better support healthcare needs in the United Kingdom. 

Our grants and donations process will focus on:

  1. Proposals focusing on initiatives in our core therapy areas: cardio-renal, immunology, neuroscience, solid tumours, and haematology.
  2. Proposals benefiting underserved communities, health inequalities and health policies in our healthcare system.

Please review the eligibility criteria below before making an application:

  • The application window will be open between Monday 23 June - Friday 22 August.
  • The application outcome (approval/rejection) will be communicated by Friday 31 October 2025.

Funding criteria 

  • Applications must have clear and transparent objectives
  • Funding must be prospective in nature
  • Funding will only be granted to legitimate organisations, never to individuals or political parties
  • Funding is provided without the intent to receive any benefit in exchange
  • Funding must not interfere with the independence of the recipient.
  • Funding must not be provided to offset the normal operating expense of the recipient (e.g., utilities, office supplies, maintenance costs for the recipient's office, rental costs, salaries and wages, etc.)
  • The provision of funding to UK organisations and patient organisations must be publicly disclosed as transfers of value

 

General information

The funding window for 2025 is now closed. The application process will resume in 2026.

Application Outcome:

If an application is declined, you will receive a notification email.

If an application is approved, you will receive a confirmation email with details of the next administrative steps.

Failure to provide the requested information within the required timeframe may result in future requests being declined.

Corporate Citizenship Requests, such as volunteering and social giving, will continue to be handled separately. Please forward these requests to [email protected].

Further information

The personal information you submit in your application will be used by Novartis for the purposes of evaluating the funding request and any associated disclosure. Any and all uses will comply with the Novartis Data Privacy Policy and all applicable laws.
