About the role:

In this specific role, your focus will be the selection and assessment of primary packaging containers to ensure that our delivery systems fulfill the highest customer expectations.
About the Role
Key responsibilities:
- Become an expert at primary packaging solutions, e.g. vials, infusion bags, and for drug delivery systems such as transfer syringes and infusion lines, to support technical requests from development projects.
- Assess and select primary packaging containers and drug delivery devices, ensuring compliance with technical and regulatory requirements for all clinical study phases and commercial launch.
- Manage stakeholders, like external suppliers and closely collaborate with different departments within Novartis.
- Perform technical assessments to confirm compliance and proper functionality of packaging components and systems.
- Address and resolve problems, such as deviations or unexpected experimental results, within your area of responsibility, and communicate solutions effectively across organizational boundaries.
- Drive preparation of technical documentation required for the registration of medical devices and combination products, and support in responding to health authority inquiries.
- Assist with internal and external technical audits related to packaging and medical device topics
- Contribute to general development activities, including platform documentation, technology landscaping, and change control management.
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor or master’s in engineering, materials science, pharmaceutical technology, or a related discipline
- Experience in the field of primary packaging / medical device and combination product or in pharmaceutical beneficial
- Strong communication skills, actively reaching out, able to understand and connect across functions
- Excellent skills in English, verbal and written. Other language skills, e.g. German are of advantage.

In accordance with Austrian law, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary as stated in the collective bargaining agreement. For this position the minimum salary is € 59,781.96 a year (on a full-time basis). The actual salary will be significantly higher, as we strive to maintain a competitive position in the market and consider your previous experience, qualifications and individual competencies.
