You’ll lead and guide process improvements, drive compliance, and represent Medical Safety in cross-functional projects, ensuring high standards, simplification and impactful change.

About the Role

Location: Barcelona, Gran Via

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and provide strategic inputs to process improvements (incl. standardization, simplification) across therapeutic areas in Medical Safety.
  • Ensure compliance with global safety regulations and internal standards.
  • Drive audit and inspection readiness through process enhancements.
  • Represent Medical Safety in cross-functional initiatives and projects.
  • Guide transition of process changes into successful project execution.
  • Set and monitor quality metrics for medical safety activities.
  • Provide expertise and support for process updates and issue management.
  • Build & lead a high-performing team to meet process excellence objectives and maintain a sustainable compliance culture.

Essential Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in Life Sciences or Healthcare; MD, MBBS, PharmD, or PhD preferred.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Minimum 12 years’ experience in drug development within a major pharmaceutical company.
  • At least 5 years in a global role providing strategic inputs for  global drug safety, clinical, or medical affairs position.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong critical and strategic thinking skills, with proven ability in business proposal development Solid knowledge of drug safety-related processes.

  • Results driven, self-starter with proactive working style; committed and accountable, transparent even under pressure.
  • Quality oriented.
